All Nations Cook-Along Project Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House

Welcome to Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House and Clinton Park’s All Nations Cook-Along with Green Plantain Recipes from Ecuador. Ecuador Flag 😀

It’s our cook-along Thursday! We are so blessed to have, Ana Lorena, our well-loved community member and volunteer, share with us her secret family recipes with Green Plantain. Ana is originally from Ecuador in South America. Green plantain is their everyday food/ingredient used in so many Ecuadorian classic recipes that are popular across the country. Tonight’s recipes are: Tortilla De Verde (Green Plantain Patties/Cakes) & Bolón De Verde (Green Plantain Dumplings).

*In Vancouver, green plantains are available at Donald’s Market, Persia Food, Norman’s (on Commercial) & Triple AAA

Watch the video with your family and friends, let us know how you love it and showcase your green plantain dishes!
